STRONGER LONGER LASTING A great deal of research has gone into developing the ideal corrugation profile. What has been achieved is a unique 100mm profile which gives the best weight to strength ratio for wall sheets. Heavier gauge steel is used progressively down the wall to compensate for greater pressure. Wall stiffeners are external to ensure smooth internal walls. This means there are no ledges for grain to remain and spoil and harbour insects and fungi. On taller silos, external wind rings are a Butler innovation for even greater support. the resulting structure is a stronger longer lasting bin.
NO WASTED SPACE The angle of the roof has been designed to accommodate the maximum amount of poured grain. No wasted space. A roof ladder leads to alrge 780cm (30") centre filling hatch. Personal access is gained through a separate hatch at the roof perimeter.
BUILT TO AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS The roof also provides structural strength with deep inbuilt ribs. Butler silos are bedded onto a concrete base and sealed using the new easy-to-apply Base Seal Kit. The whole structure is bolted down to concrete base. no rafters are needed, even on a 14.5m diameter (48") silo. Easy filling through a large 755mm (29.8") sliding hatch at the peak. The body sheets - or walls - are bolted hill and valley, with zinc plated nuts and bolts. They are high tensile and use steel backed neoprene washers. You get great strength and effective sealing, with all seam joints sealed with bead sealant.
EASY TO ACCESS EASY TO SEAL The 750mm square silo door is bolted to durable hot dipped galvanised frame. An auger access door and rain proof boot are supplied. A three (3) way walk in door can be supplied as an optional extra.
EASY TO FILL EASY TO UNLOAD EASY TO PROTECT Underfloor Retrieval A power operated auger fed through a sump in the silo floor, draws out grain at the rate of up to 60 tonnes per hour. This system is currently available for all models. Grain Aeration Overheating gives rise to the breeding of insects, and overall biochemical deterioration, meaning loss of germination and nutritive value. Aeration Systems provide automatic control of cool air entering the silo to reduce grain temperature. Atmosphere Control Butler silos can be sealed for the new technique of inert atmosphere control of pests, or conventional fumigation.
